Mitologia

Una figura indistinta, dalle tinte evanescenti, appena sfumate di rosso, può suggerire di tutto: da questa immagine fetale, cosmogonica, seguendo la scia di un racconto mitologico, giungiamo a un mito recente, che non si è ancora composto e definito nella chiarezza storica, che deve essere plasmato dallo spettatore nelle forme delle proprie percezioni.

È nato a Milano nel 1934. Nel 1986 ha partecipato sia alla Biennale di Venezia che alla Quadriennale di Roma. Artista ben noto anche all'estero, ha nel suo immaginario l'idea narrativa, ma non la narrazione letteraria. Nei suoi quadri, sono estesi piani di luce a scandire i tempi e a definire gli spazi in un'estrema chiarità coloristica che è anche ricerca delle immagini possibili, ma mai determinate: l'oggetto che si vuole raggiungere è, in realtà, sempre irrappresentabile.

Born in Milan in 1934, he has exhibited in 1986 both at the Venice Biennial and at the Rome Quadriennial and is famous also abroad. In the imaginary of this artist can be found the narrative idea, but not the narration itself. Vast plans of light in his paintings scan the times and determine the spaces in uncommonly clear hues, searching for the possible, but never determined, images: the object to be reached is actually impossible to represent.
